Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box passes directly to the third-party provider that operates the tool. That provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email message is retained as needed to answer it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical information whenever a page loads, including:
- Page-view timestamps and time spent on visited pages
- Your device type and operating system
- The referring website, when one is reported
- Your device’s assigned IP address
- Browser type and version
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show aggregate usage patterns, such as which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers assist with that measurement. A browser can reject cookies, although blocking them may change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical and service data is used only for site operation, measurement, partner routing, and advertising functions such as these:
- Route a search request to the selected partner service
- Diagnose errors and other technical problems
- Measure which pages are useful or need improvement
- Operate the site and maintain reasonable performance
- Display advertising that may reflect user interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
No database of personal criminal-record information is maintained, compiled, or sold here. The published material explains how to reach the New Madrid County Sheriff, Missouri courts, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is never assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, not this policy, govern information entered in those tools. Each partner controls its own retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Missouri agencies, legal-aid resources, or third-party tools. Once a reader follows an external link, that operator’s privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal details.
Some advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics services measuring traffic and performance
- Search partners processing a query
- Advertising networks serving site ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If a minor’s information is identified, a deletion request may be made.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide additional rights. Missouri’s consumer-protection framework includes the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act, RSMo 407.020. Public criminal-history dissemination is separately governed by RSMo 43.506, and government-record access follows the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610. At a minimum, you may:
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Ask for a copy of personal data held about you
- Opt out of certain processing where the law provides that right
- Request deletion of personal data
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A revised version will appear here with its new effective date.
